The ur-parlor guitar. Spruce top, Mahogany back, sides and neck, Ebony fingerboard and bridge; top binding and rosette like a modern style 18. Signed and dated by F.H. Martin inside top. Very clean, all original condition.

Neck reset, frets adjusted, set up to play with extra light or silk and steel strings.

The Martin Size 1 guitar measures 12-3/4" across the lower bout and is the smallest Martin guitar made with the standard 24.9" scale length found on their larger models, giving it power and bass response not often found in instruments of this size.
